Leidos won a new prime contract from the Federal Trade Commission to manage its cyber and enterprise security operations.

The single award, firm-fixed-price contract has a 1-year base period of performance and four 1-year option years. It has a total value of $12 million if all options are exercised.

“At Leidos, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of managed cyber and enterprise security operations, and we look forward to working with the FTC to safeguard their critical assets and data,” said Michael Van Gelder, senior vice president and operations manager at Leidos. “This program represents another milestone in our mission to create a more secure digital world for our customers,” Van Gelder said.

Leidos will work to implement and operate a modern security operations center and its supporting IT security tools as a fully outsourced and managed SOC-as-a-service program.

The company will also provide cybersecurity monitoring, incident assessment and response and threat hunting, and will assist in the implementation of FTC’s Zero Trust Architecture plan intended to serve as a foundational blueprint for a governmentwide SOCaaS program for external entities.
