    Thomas Bruno, GDIT

    Thomas Bruno

Vice President & General Manager, Homeland Security & Telecommunications, GDIT

Since Thomas Bruno joined GDIT, he has focused on developing a Department of Homeland Security practice and team that is empowered and can respond with agility. For example, GDIT has supported customers that require expanded capabilities to serve hundreds of thousands of citizens in times of need.

“Our teams have introduced AI-powered advanced technology solutions to transform and optimize citizen services to become smarter, more customer-oriented and more efficient,” Bruno said.

    Why Watch

GDIT is a company to watch as 5G capabilities are rolled out. It is in the unique position of directly supporting the commercial deployment of 5G for carriers and positioning to assist agencies like Customs and Border Protection and the Coast Guard as they look to adopt 5G capabilities to drive edge solutions in support of their critical missions. Look for GDIT to leverage its strategic partnerships with telecom carriers, vendors, CSPs and spectrum providers as it strengthens its position in 5G wireless technology.

Also, expect GDIT to continue making strong moves in the area of cyber as it expands its ecosystem to meet the ever-evolving mission set for DHS.

“One of the things I really like about our approach to DHS is that we are organized to provide high-value support to the DHS intelligence mission,” Bruno said. “Our intelligence community and DHS workforces exist in one integrated division. Our portfolio includes enterprise IT, mission IT and a broad range of mission support services.”
