    Paul Kurtz, Splunk

    Paul Kurtz

Chief Cybersecurity Advisor, Public Sector, Splunk

Splunk acquired TruSTAR — a cybersecurity company Paul Kurtz co-founded — in 2021. Kurtz built TruSTAR to provide organizations with technology that helps prevent failure in cyberspace. Spunk’s acquisition of TruSTAR confirmed the vision and requirement to automate cyber intelligence management.

And today, the cybersecurity landscape is advancing by the minute, and the government is prioritizing it like never before. At Splunk, Kurtz is heavily focused on improving the nation’s cybersecurity posture, especially in a time where cyberwar is becoming closer and closer to a possibility.

    Why Watch

As the cybersecurity landscape continues to evolve, Kurtz is focused on improving the nation’s posture, particularly by creating collaborative exchanges so government agencies and private sector companies can automatically exchange suspicious event information. It’s one of the top weapons used to combat cyber threats today.

“Without that strategic collaboration, we will fail as no government or company can gain a synoptic understanding of events in cyberspace without cooperation,” he said.

Kurtz is on a mission to automate data exchanges as it is a critical component of cyber resiliency.
