Sigma Defense Systems founder Ken Falke has been added to the company’s board of directors.

“Ken’s military, professional and non-profit experience, as well as his expertise in business growth and commitment to veteran welfare will be a great addition to the Sigma Defense Board,” said Sigma Defence CEO Matt Jones.

Falke is a 21-year combat veteran of the U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal community, retired master chief petty officer and author of “Struggle Well: Thriving in the Aftermath of Trauma.” He led A-T Solutions, now part of PAE, while it was named to Inc.’s “500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America” list for four consecutive years.

“He has a unique combination of entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen, combined with 21 years of experience as a U.S. Navy combat veteran. We are very excited to welcome Ken to our team,” Jones said of Falke

Along with A-T Solutions’ recognitions, Falke was named Entrepreneur of the Year for the Fredericksburg, Virginia, Regional Chamber of Commerce, and was a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year program.

Falke also founded and served as CEO of multimedia technology company Shoulder 2 Shoulder, Inc., for six years, and founded the Boulder Crest Foundation focused on post-traumatic growth for combat veterans, first responders and their families.
