As a leader in Northrop Grumman’s payload and ground systems business, Candace Givens has overseen strong, sustained growth in 2020, positioning the company for new opportunities in innovative, resilient space payloads.
Last year, her portfolio achieved more than $400 million of annual sales and double-digit growth as her leadership strengthened relationships with customers and industry.
“It’s an exciting time to be supporting our space customers and their critical missions of protecting and defending the security of our nation,” Givens said. “Through demonstrated performance, we are providing innovative space technologies and solutions while building a talented team with limitless opportunities for the future.”
Her focus on attracting new talent and fostering the next generation of technical leaders resulted in a recent successful on-orbit technology demonstration mission aboard the company’s Cygnus spacecraft, providing an end-to-end opportunity for the early-career workforce to pioneer new processes and validate the performance of key technologies in space.
Givens serves as co-chair of the diversity, equity and inclusion council for Northrop Grumman’s space sector and has spoken passionately about the importance of mentorship and leadership in implementing values-focused principles.
