Technology systems integrator Intelligent Waves LLC announced it promoted John Hammes to chief strategy officer.
Hammes will support Intelligent Waves’ clients in the defense, special operations and intelligence communities through solutions that accomplish mission-critical operations in cybersecurity, systems integration and C5ISR.
“We are excited to promote John Hammes, a trusted and proven leader, to this critical position at the nexus of planning and executing our growth and expansion,” said CEO Jared Shepard.
“We are confident that John Hammes’ tenacity and unrivaled ingenuity will directly impact IW’s journey to smarter, more secure, responsive, and innovative solutions that our discerning clients demand and deserve,” he added.
Hammes served for over 12 years in U.S. Army Special Operations Command and in the 112th Signal Battalion and 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta.
He brings over 20 years of experience to Intelligent Waves, with institutional knowledge of operating and managing high-impact programs in the most demanding and austere military IT environments.
He recently oversaw the successful rollout of Intelligent Waves’ GRAYPATH solution for expeditionary communications. GRAYPATH leverages the cloud to randomize and distribute message packets through the simultaneous use of multiple transport paths and encrypted channels. It lowers the risk of detection and interception and is nearly impervious to disruption.
