After joining Science Applications International Corp. last January, Nathan Rogers’ focus has been on building a high-performing IT organization. In 2019, and thus far in 2020, he said he’s most proud of his and his team’s work to successfully integrate two of SAIC’s latest acquisitions, Engility in 2019 and Unisys Federal in 2020.
With each acquisition, Rogers’ team implemented new HR and finance platforms, improved cybersecurity, helped deliver key mission critical technology to support the customer’s missions, and improved collaboration and productivity for SAIC employees. Most importantly, under Rogers’ leadership, SAIC has cut costs while adding new capabilities.
Prior to the pandemic, Rogers had formed a cross-collaboration team with HR, IT and facilities to evaluate and design SAIC’s vision for the future of work. When the pandemic hit, the team quickly accelerated the roadmap and operationalized key strategic drivers.
The team’s preparation and planning enabled SAIC employees to work remotely from their homes safely and virtually overnight with minimal technical disruption. Rogers also quickly launched a series of secure collaborative tools that would improve productivity when working from home.

Lastly, his unwavering passion for building on his team’s accomplishments and continuously improving will continue to be a primary focus during SAIC’s next fiscal year.
