Boeing has chosen Michael D’Ambrose as executive vice president of human resources, effective July 6. He succeeds Wendy Livingston, who has served in an interim capacity since April.

D’Ambrose will be responsible for the company’s leadership and learning, talent planning, employee and labor relations, total rewards, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. He will report to Boeing President and CEO David Calhoun.

D’Ambrose is coming on board at a time when Boeing is aligning its workforce with a smaller, more competitive aerospace industry in the next years, Calhoun said.

“He brings to this effort and our other business priorities extensive experience leading through organizational change, passionate advocacy for diversity and inclusion, and commitment to identifying, developing and retaining the industry’s top talent,” he said. Calhoun also thanked Livingston for her service.

D’Ambrose comes to Boeing from agribusinesses ADM. He has served as senior vice president and chief human resources officer at ADM since 2006, and he led the continued modernization of all global HR activities.

While at ADM, D’Ambrose founded and led Together We Grow, a group of industrial, educational, nongovernment organization and legislative partners focused on driving diversity and inclusion — and building a strong talent pipeline — throughout the U.S. food and agriculture sectors.
