Alion Science and Technology announced it has been awarded a $40 million task order to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane by providing sustainment and development of expeditionary weapon systems.
The contract calls on Alion to assist NSWC Crane in development of next-generation, integrated weapons systems and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance capabilities for multiple platforms. These include ground and maritime mobility platforms, manned and unmanned, providing quick-reaction and engineering analyses to support total life-cycle management of current and advanced small arms systems.
“Alion’s strength in advancing ISR capabilities continues to drive technology advancements and innovation across our ISR and weapons systems solutions to support ongoing operations and future missions,” said Alan Dietrich, senior vice president of Alion’s intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance group.
“Alion continues to grow its ISR business, expanding its footprint in support of Crane with the continued utilization of our 57,000 sq. ft. System Sustainment Center campus, and capitalizing on our agile engineering approach and investments in technology and talent,” he added.
This task order was awarded under the Defense Department Information Analysis Center’s Multiple Award Contract, and has a 36-month period of performance.
