Perspecta has appointed President and CEO Mac Curtis as chairman of its board of directors effective Aug. 5, succeeding Mike Lawrie, who has served in that role since 2018.
Lawrie said he will retire from the board Aug. 5, and Philip Nolan, the current lead independent director, will continue to serve in this position. Aug. 5 is also the date of Perspecta’s 2020 annual meeting of shareholders.
Curtis has been the president and CEO of Perspecta since its launch in 2018, and Lawrie said Curtis has delivered solid results.
“Mac has led Perspecta for two very successful years, executing a seamless integration of the legacy companies, enhancing Perspecta’s innovative solutions and services and developing a talented workforce,” Lawrie said. “Mac’s deep industry knowledge, executive management skills and strategic and tactical capabilities make him ideally suited to lead Perspecta’s continued growth as chairman.”
Curtis said he is looking forward to working with the board to continue execute strategy and growth.
“Mike’s experience and perspective helped accelerate Perspecta’s integration and growth as a leading U.S. government services provider,” he said. “I look forward to working with the board as we continue to effectively execute our strategy and grow the business while driving value for employees, customers and shareholders.”
Curtis made WashingtonExec’s list of Top 25 Execs to Watch in 2020 as well as in 2019 and in 2018.
