VT Group Wins Presidential Helicopters Support Contract

Technology integrator and C5ISR solutions provider VT Group has been awarded a $105 million contract by the Naval Air Systems Command to support the Presidential Helicopters Program Office, Marine Helicopter Squadron One and Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Twenty-One.

The 5-year, single-award contract calls on VT Group to provide the Navy and Marine Corps with research, development, test, and evaluation; integrated logistics; engineering; and maintenance support.

The contract is the flagship of VT Group’s growing aerospace engineering portfolio, said VT Group President and CEO John Hassoun.

“We are immensely proud to be NAVAIR’s partner-of-choice for this high profile, mission-critical program, and equally proud of our engineers and technical experts who remain committed – day in and day out – to NAVAIR’s 100% mission success requirement,” he added.

The presidential helicopter fleet provides rotary wing transportation to the U.S. president and vice president, heads of state and other official parties. VT Group has supported PMA-274 since 2004, providing mission-critical services for the mixed fleet of VH-3D and VH-60N aircraft that currently transport the president, as well as other support platforms.

The new contract calls on VT Group to continue supporting the existing fleet, and to integrate the new VH-92A helicopter into full operational service.
