LMI President Dave Zolet is stepping down and will be replaced on an interim basis by the company’s Chief Growth Officer Brian Fitzpatrick.
The consultancy’s board of directors made the announcement Tuesday and said Zolet will pursue a new opportunity.
“Dave has helped put LMI on the right trajectory, from business fundamentals to growth to developing a very strong and diverse leadership team,” said LMI Board Chairman Ken Krieg. “LMI is well positioned, thanks to Dave’s leadership, for the foreseeable future. I’d like to thank him for his dedication to our customers’ missions and all LMI employees the last two and a half years. I wish him well in his new and exciting endeavor.”
Zolet was named CEO in summer of 2017, having joined LMI from CSC where he was executive vice president and headed the company’s Americas region. Before CSC, Zolet was vice president of systems integration at IBM and also spent over 20 years with Northrop Grumman Corp.
Prior to LMI, Fitzpatrick held leadership roles at DXC Technology and Northrop Grumman, among other companies. Early in his career, he worked as a journalist in New York and as chief of staff for a member of Congress.
Fitzpatrick”will ensure a seamless transition and the Board looks forward to his contribution to LMI’s continued success,” Krieg said.
Zolet said he felt “very blessed to consider myself an LMIer.”
“Brian and the senior leadership team will continue to build a business to support our clients for the next 60 years,” he added.
