Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. has entered into a research agreement with the U.S. Army’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center. The two will collaborate on research and development projects.
The objective of the Cooperative Research and Development Agreement is for the partners to “jointly develop C5ISR concepts, techniques, technologies, and software to enhance U.S. Army Mission Command software,” according to RGi.
“RGi is working hard to develop technologies that enhance commander and staff understanding of the impacts of the cyber domain on missions and ongoing operations,” said RGi CEO Stephen Gillotte. “Our joint mission through this CRADA is to develop and transition innovative Mission Command software capabilities to soldiers.”
As a partner in the research agreement, RGi plans to provide technical perspectives and expertise in the development of artificial intelligence, autonomy or machine learning software to support C5ISR projects. These will include new algorithms, methods and techniques to increase the effectiveness of mission command software.
These efforts align with RGi’s broader R&D program, which includes Tactical Cyber C2 enabled via situational awareness and understanding; computer vision at collection scale achieved via machine learning algorithms; and development of a Future Tactical Operations Center supporting conflicts with near-peer adversaries.
