About Matt Jones:
Matt Jones was appointed to his position Jan. 1, 2016. As the president of TMA, Jones is responsible for developing and driving TMA’s strategic plan while providing the vision, direction and leadership to ensure the company reaches its goals. Additionally, Jones has responsibility for all activities related to identifying, assessing, developing and capturing new business.
Jones joined TMA in April of 2014 and led TMA to double-digit growth and improved corporate performance by all financial measures. He was also elected to the TMA board of directors in June 2015.
Jones joined TMA from The Boeing Co., where he led international business development for the C4ISR Division, doubling the size of the diverse portfolio in two years. He joined Boeing in July 2010 via the company’s acquisition of Argon ST, where he served for seven years. While at Argon, he led three years of successive growth as the profit-and-loss leader for Argon’s Cyber Client Services Division, in which capacity he oversaw Argon’s offices in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, and San Antonio, Texas.
Prior roles at Argon included lead marketing engineer, software usability asset leader, operator training leader and operator trainer. Before joining Argon in September 2003, Jones served eight years in the U.S. Navy as a cryptologist, in which capacity he served on eight surface ships, nine submarines, and supported various special operation missions.
Jones currently holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland University College and an executive Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill’s OneMBA program.
