Industry Advisory Council has chosen Ted Davies, CEO at Altamira Technologies Corp., to serve as its next executive vice chair. He replaces Tony Scott, who left the post in September.
Davies joined Altamira as CEO in July 2014, just days after retiring from being president of the Unisys Federal Systems business unit.
IAC Chair Paul Strasser described Davies as a natural fit for the leadership role.
“Ted has been a long-time supporter of ACT-IAC, a previously elected IAC Chair and currently sits on the IAC Executive Committee as an appointed member,” he said. “For the past couple of years Ted has also chaired ACT-IAC’s Executive Collaboration Forum and has done significant outreach to industry leaders on our behalf. His knowledge and experience will allow him to immediately step in and significantly contribute to the leadership of ACT-IAC.”
Describing the appointment as “critical and unprecedented,” Strasser noted he made the selection after extensive consultation with former IAC chairs.
“I strongly believe that this selection best positions the organization for future success,” he said.
