Atlas Research Snags VA Contract to Speed Up Claims Process

Atlas Research is partnering with data services company Amida and Prometheus Federal Services to create a proof-of-concept solution to modernize the Department of Veterans Affairs’ disability compensation claims process for separating service members.

Specifically, Atlas is using human centered design, data mapping, modern software design and updated query development to build a solution that will speed up the collection of evidentiary materials needed by adjudicators to process claims.

It will also allow adjudicators to use computable medical data to complete compensation claims for veterans in days rather than weeks or months.

“We’re excited to work with VA on this solution, which will help streamline the approval process for compensation claims to the many Veterans with disabilities who have already served our country so well,” said Atlas CEO Robin Portman.

Atlas mentors military health care-based company Prometheus Federal Services through the Small Business Administration’s Mentor-Protégé Agreement program.

“Our growing digital and technologies services continue to help federal agencies modernize their operations — improving the experience for citizens, employees and other stakeholders — so that our country can better meet the urgent needs of the next generation,” Portman added.
