ManTech International Chief Human Resources Officer Jeff Brody has been named chairman of WashingtonExec’s HR Council for 2019-2020.

Under Brody’s leadership, the council will collaborate with WashingtonExec’s other councils and engage in ongoing benchmarking discussions to promote HR functional excellence in the D.C. Metro area.

“Demand for effective and business-aligned human capital strategy is necessary to enhance human resources capability and improve the capacity for business to deliver,” Brody said. “Together, the members of our council will understand market trends and explore creative solutions that benefit all involved.”

At ManTech, Brody is in charge of developing, implementing and executing industry-leading HR strategies that enable employee and customer success.

“We look for employees who share our dedication to the mission, such as veterans, who today comprise 47% of our workforce,” Brody said. “We support all of our employees in their desire for continuous learning and skill development that improves customer mission success while improving career growth opportunities.”

Chief among these initiatives are tuition-paid degree programs with the company’s education partner Purdue Global University in fast-paced technology sectors, including cyber, cloud and a newly launched program in analytics and AI, as well as all-employee access to technology, leadership and personal effectiveness courses on Skillsoft’s mobile and desktop learning platform.

“The best investment a company can make is in its people,” Brody said. “When you help people advance their skills and expertise, the ROI is outstanding for customers, shareholders, and employees themselves.”
