Finance and equity leader Catriona Fallon is Hitachi Vantara‘s new chief financial officer as of today.
Fallon’s responsibilities will include global financial reporting and analysis, controllership, tax, treasury, internal audit and controls, real estate, facilities and financial shared services. She will report to Hitachi Vantara CEO Brian Householder.
Fallon has nearly 20 years of executive leadership experience in finance, technology and equity research. Most recently, she was the CFO of Silver Spring Networks and led the company through its 2018 acquisition by Itron, later serving as the acquired company’s general manager.
Fallon has also held senior finance leadership roles at companies including Hewlett-Packard Co., Cognizant Technology Solutions and Marin Software Inc. Her career began at McKinsey & Co. as a consultant and Fallon spent several years as an equity analyst at Piper Jaffray & Co. and Citigroup.

Fallon joins two other recently hired senior leaders: Chief Marketing Officer Jonathan Martin and Chief Human Resources Officer Kristin Machacek Leary.
