Career intelligence community executive Brett Dody has been named to the WashingtonExec Speaker Committee, a group run by thought leaders in the federal space to help with the membership organization’s programming and strategic direction.
Dody retired from Vencore in December 2017, after working over seven years for The SI Org, later renamed Vencore. As a senior vice president, he led the Intelligence Systems Group, a 600-person line of business providing systems engineering and integration support to national security customers.
Dody has over 30 years of experience leading high-priority national security and intelligence activities in both government and industry.
During his federal career, Dody provided leadership for teams that developed worldwide communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities. He also served overseas as a foreign liaison officer and worked for an appropriations chairman as a congressional fellow.
“We look forward to Brett’s bringing his expertise to the WashingtonExec Speaker Committee,” said JD Kathuria, founder and CEO of WashingtonExec. “In this 24/7 news cycle world we live in, Brett will bring sound and market-driven expertise about future speakers of influence and relevant programs.”
Dody is joined by subject matter experts in the aerospace, emerging technology and health care sectors.
WashingtonExec profiled Dody a couple years ago to discuss social media security clearance adjudication and the importance of mentorship across government and industry. Read more about him here.
