The MITRE Corporation has named Kathleen P. Federico its vice president and chief human resources officer (CHRO).
Federico, who will be based at MITRE’s Bedford, Massachusetts, campus, has led human resources at large companies in a variety of industries, shaping talent management, compensation, learning and development, and operations capabilities.
In her most recent role as CHRO for Civitas Solutions, a home-based health and human services company, Federico led the transformation of the HR function, which resulted in improvements in talent management, executive compensation, total rewards, learning and development, organizational design, and human capital systems. Prior to Civitas, Federico held the dual role of senior vice president of human resources and senior vice president of sales for World Travel Holdings.
“Kathleen is deeply mission-focused with a strong public service orientation,” said Peter Sherlock, MITRE SVP and Chief Operating Officer. “We’re glad to welcome her to MITRE during an exciting time of growth and change.”
Federico holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Merrimack College.
