CVP Wins Contract For DHS Security Guard Oversight

Customer Value Partners has been awarded a contract to develop and manage a system designed to oversee Homeland Security Department contract security officers at over 2,500 facilities nationwide.

DHS’ Federal Protective Service chose CVP to develop its Post Tracking System, the company said. The Federal Protective Service provides security and law enforcement services to approximately 9,000 federal facilities owned or leased by the General Services Administration and other federal agencies, and contracts with various companies to deploy and manage 12,500 protective security officers at those locations.

The Post Tracking System is designed to automate oversight of those security officers, according to CVP. The company said its agile-based solution for the tracking system will improve security officer staffing and invoicing, and reduce the administrative burden on FPS inspectors, allowing them greater time for security assessments, patrols and security officer oversight.

“FPS is a new CVP client within DHS and provides an opportunity to broaden our national security mission support for a new component,” said Tracy Denny, CVP vice president federal solutions. “We’re excited to expand our work for DHS and provide solutions to improve the safety and protection of our citizens and facilities.”

CVP was among the nominees for the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards in 2017.  WashingtonExec spoke with CEO Anirudh Kulkarni in October about the company’s core values, future opportunities and the importance of community service. The company was also named one of the top workplaces in the Washington, D.C., area by The Washington Post in 2017.
