    Sid Fuchs, MacAulay-Brown Inc.

2017 was MacAulay-Brown, Inc.’s best year yet for contract awards, with 164 deals and $550 million in contract dollars won, the company said.

The 164 contracts and task orders awarded in 2017 include both new business and recompeted work, with 75 percent of the company’s contract work performed a prime contractor, MacB said.

Company President and CEO Sid Fuchs said it’s been satisfying to see results from the company’s efforts to expand its portfolio and hire and develop a talented workforce. Besides the number of contracts won, the company said it also delivered significantly higher win rates than industry averages.

“Our 2017 performance is a testament to the success of MacB’s strategy of delivering high barrier-to- imitation capabilities in high barrier-to-entry markets within a crowded industry,” Fuchs said. “It’s clear that our emphasis on delivering results is having a major impact on our customers and the company.”

In 2017, MacB won contracts from the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy, as well as Special Operations Forces and customers in the law enforcement and intelligence communities. The company won prime awards on five indefinite-delivery, indefinitequantity contract vehicles, and worked as a subcontractor on another 11 IDIQs.

Sole source revenue was one area of growth across the company, with classified customers and restricted contracts classified customers and restricted contracts accounting for nearly 40 percent of MacB’s 2017 awards, the company said‎.

The company said it enters 2018 with nearly $600 million in contract proposals awaiting an award decision, and has booked contracts worth more than $1.2 billion in total value over the last three years.
