A former associate vice president and deputy chief information officer of the University of Maryland has been appointed to lead Attain LLC’s education consulting business.
Alison Robinson, who spent five years at UMD, will focus on developing solution strategies and enhancing client delivery. Attain Chairman and CEO Greg Baroni said the company was thrilled to have her on board.
“Alison brings to Attain more than 20 years of experience in the higher education and information technology fields as an executive and highly respected leader with a proven track record of blending academic and business acumen to successfully deliver and manage solutions to support organizational objectives,” Baroni said. “Moreover, her service-oriented approach to delivery strongly aligns with Attain’s culture and core values.”
To her new role, Robinson brings enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and learning management system expertise, and experience with cloud computing services, infrastructure management, strategic planning, budget management, contract negotiation, project management, and human capital development.
“I’ve focused my career on helping the education community to become more successful by closing gaps between technology, people, and governance,” Robinson said. “My transition into the field of consulting offers a new and exciting way for me to continue leveraging technology to create value and make a difference in education.”
Robinson previously served as director of application services at the University of South Florida, and as IT director at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
