Paragon Technology Group announced yesterday that Marc Tommer has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Tommer will oversee corporate finance, accounting and acquisition strategy, and will report to Scott Friedlander, CEO.
Tommer has 25 years of experience working with publicly traded and growth-oriented companies. Most recently he served as Vice President of Finance for Vangent, a provider of information management and strategic business process services, and led a worldwide department, overseeing financial reporting, treasury, risk management and pricing. Vangent was sold to GDIT in October of 2011 for $960 million. Prior to his time at Vangent, Tommer served as Vice President of Finance at SI International where he integrated nine acquisitions into the company and drove annual revenue from zero to nearly $600 million.
“Marc’s demonstrated track record in driving organic growth, strategic acquisitions and financial compliance make him the perfect candidate to step into this important role on our management team,” said President and CEO of Paragon, Scott Friedlander. “We’re excited for Marc to join forces with Paragon’s leadership team to achieve our goals of deeper client value and continued growth.”
“Paragon is in a unique position to deliver high-value IT services to the public sector that help agencies lower costs and perform more efficiently. I am excited to join the company as it expands business and improve performance for government clients,” said Tommer.
