    WIT Opens Nominations For 13th Annual Leadership Awards

    Today, Women in Technology (WIT) announced the call for nominations for the 13th Annual Women in Technology Leadership Awards. Nominations will be accepted until February 24, 2012.

    The annual awards program honors leading female professionals living and working in the Greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area who have exemplified unique vision and talent in the technology field during the previous year. WIT members and non-members are eligible for nominations and winners will be announced at the Leadership Awards Banquet on May 17, 2012 at The McLean Hilton, Tyson’s Corner.

    “The 13th Annual Women in Technology Leadership Award’s theme, ‘Never Lose Sight,’ speaks to the way our honorees are able to retain a focus on the big picture including business goals, mentoring and self improvement, while pushing through their day-to-day efforts to launch exciting new technology solutions,” said Kelly Harman, President, WIT.

    WIT is soliciting nominations in the following areas:

    • Corporate Leadership – Private Sector (Large and Small)
    • Corporate Leadership – Public Sector (Large and Small)
    • Entrepreneur Leadership
    • Government Leadership
    • Education IT Leadership
    • Health IT Leadership
    • Global Impact Leadership
    • Unsung Hero
    • Rising Star
    • Women in Technology Champion
