The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), Fires Software Engineering Division (FSED), has awarded CGI Federal Inc. (CGI), a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc., a $89.4 million contract to provide system and software engineering support services. The contract has a one-year base with one, one-year option period.

CECOM is one of the Army’s premier Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities provider. A subordinate of the Army Materiel Command, CECOM and its strategic partners are vital members of the new Materiel Enterprise, providing C4ISR systems and sustainment to Army forces through the Army Force Generation process.

Under the contract, CGI will provide C4ISR support across the lifecycle of artillery support systems, including software development and fielding. Work will be primarily performed at CGI’s Systems Engineering Center of Excellence in Lawton/ Fort Sill, Okla., which provides U.S. defense clients with services such as information security, training, simulation, and quality-control.

CGI’s Senior VP Randy Brooks said, “Our proven ability to deliver rapid, interoperable, and cost-effective technology support helps CECOM protect our U.S. military members by delivering mission-critical systems, including those for field artillery mission command, radar, and handheld devices.”
