    John Ustica, SGT

    John Ustica

President & CEO, Siemens Government Technologies

John Ustica’s biggest recent achievement was winning WashingtonExec’s Chief Officer Award for CEO of the Year in 2025.

“This was a great recognition for our team’s success. Everyone knows CEOs don’t do it alone, so this was an amazing win for our team,” Ustica said.

In terms of aligning with the current administration’s priorities to reduce cost, streamline operations and improve government efficiency, Siemens does this every day in the commercial world. The company is excited about the pace and scale the government is moving and stands ready to implement proven solutions to help them realize their goals.

    Why Watch

In 2026, Ustica and his team are heavily focused on helping the defense industry maximize the use of their technology as a force multiplier for readiness. Siemens is bringing technologies for smart buildings to help maximize asset utilization and improve the conditions for the military. The company’s biggest lever is to combine the real and digital worlds for its government customers.

“John has galvanized his team around a strategic vision for business growth, transforming the portfolio through integrated solutions serving new federal customers, all while harnessing AI and data-driven decision tools to operate more efficiently in all they do,” said Anne Altman, SGT board of directors chair. “I’m looking forward to their critical work serving customers with missions of national consequence in 2026 and beyond.”

Fun fact: Ustica loves the outdoors and being on the water. He and his family love spending time on a boat or at the beach, especially in winter.
