    John Wasson, ICF

    John Wasson

    Chair & CEO, ICF

John Wasson’s biggest recent achievement was supporting the launch of several new solutions that directly address the evolving needs of ICF’s clients.

In 2025, ICF achieved major milestones in how it innovates across its markets in meaningful ways, particularly through technology and AI.

“Most notably, we built ICF Fathom, our new, federal agentic AI solution that can be deployed in days,” Wasson said. “We enhanced our flagship energy platform, Sightline, with advanced AI capabilities.”

And as ICF experienced a nationwide increase in energy demand, the company launched a new data center solution that accelerates development, while protecting energy affordability, grid reliability and community trust. Together, these initiatives reflect the exceptional work of interdisciplinary ICF teams and the company’s commitment to operating with agility and innovating with purpose.

“Invest in talented teams and give them room to be curious and challenge assumptions. The innovation and impact will most certainly follow,” Wasson said.

Across the federal landscape, agencies are also under pressure to deliver measurable outcomes faster, and that aligns squarely with what ICF is doing — combining unmatched expertise with advanced analytics, automation and digital modernization to drive even greater speed, impact and results, Wasson said.

ICF is helping agencies streamline operations by modernizing systems, reducing administrative burden, eliminating unnecessary processes, and standing up scalable, production-ready AI solutions in days that quickly improve how government services are delivered.

    Why Watch

In 2026, ICF is heavily focused on helping government agencies deliver highly efficient services with digital modernization at the core.

“It’s been exciting to see our teams use their deep industry expertise to build and deploy new AI-enabled solutions and systems that are accelerating programs, eliminating inefficiencies, and producing measurable cost and time savings,” Wasson said. ICF’s top priority in the federal market this year is clear: Helping agencies achieve more value, faster.

Fun fact: With all of this talk of digital modernization, some may find it surprising that Wasson still reads several physical newspapers first thing most mornings with his coffee. “It’s a small ritual I’ve intentionally held onto to help me slow down just a bit before diving into a fast-paced, highly digital workday,” he said.
