    Dana Bono, Ultra I&C

    Dana Bono

    General Counsel, Ultra I&C

Dana Bono’s team supports key business initiatives, including integration efforts, expansion into new markets and strategic growth opportunities.

“What makes that work especially meaningful is being able to help the business move forward in a practical, solutions-oriented way,” she said. “It has been a rewarding season of growth and momentum.”

Jon Rucker, president and CEO of Ultra I&C, said Bono is a “catalyst for progress.”

“She understands the pace of technology and the realities of execution, and she gives guidance that protects the company without slowing it down,” Rucker said. “That balance is rare, and it’s a big part of how we keep delivering.”

    Why Watch

In 2026, Bono’s team is focused on staying agile, pragmatic and closely aligned with the business as it navigates a fast-moving environment. She said her team at Ultra I&C is small but highly effective, allowing quick responses to new challenges and opportunities. Their priorities are helping the business stay grounded, make smart decisions, and keep moving even when the landscape shifts.

In the defense industry, agility and discipline have always mattered, but Bono said those traits are especially important in today’s environment. Her team helps the business stay responsive, operate efficiently and support mission needs without losing sight of compliance and sound decision-making. That means being ready to pivot quickly while keeping a steady hand on risk and execution.

“’Stay calm and carry on’ is not a bad motto for in-house legal work,” Bono said. “When you have a small but mighty team that stays balanced, grounded and ready to pivot, you can get through just about anything.”

Fun fact: Bono is getting scuba certified alongside her husband and two children, a family adventure that has reminded her staying balanced sometimes means trying something completely new.
