ServiceNow Rolls Out AI Workforce Tools for Agencies

ServiceNow has launched new AI tools designed for government agencies, including a new employee service portal and AI specialists that automate routine work.

The company’s ServiceNow EmployeeWorks combines conversational AI and enterprise search from Moveworks with the ServiceNow Employee Center portal. The system allows government employees to submit requests, find information and trigger workflows using natural language.

The launch follows ServiceNow’s recent acquisition of Moveworks.

ServiceNow also introduced Autonomous Workforce, AI specialists designed to handle tasks such as IT support requests while operating within government compliance requirements.

“Every agency we work with is under pressure to accelerate efficiency and innovation—and they’re expected to do it with AI that actually works,” said Chris Bedi, ServiceNow chief customer officer and enterprise AI advisor. “ServiceNow gives them the platform to orchestrate AI across any system, govern every action, and deliver outcomes at scale—with AI that works across departments and mission areas.”

The first AI specialist focuses on IT service desk support and can handle requests such as password resets, software access and network troubleshooting, escalating issues to human staff when necessary. ServiceNow said the tools are designed for use in Government Community Cloud and National Security Cloud environments.

ServiceNow EmployeeWorks is now generally available for public sector customers. The IT Service Desk AI specialist is currently in controlled availability and expected to become generally available in the second quarter of 2026.
