    Vir Thanvi, ERT

    Vir Thanvi

Vice President, Enterprise and Digital Engineering, ERT

Vir Thanvi’s team recently expanded innovation across ERT’s engineering organization, with a strong emphasis on advancing digital engineering capabilities.

Thanvi helped build and mature digital tools that enhance how ERT designs and delivers integrated solutions for its customers, bolstering both efficiency and mission outcomes.

In parallel, he continued to grow ERT’s civil and defense space network by representing the company at numerous industry events and spending time to meet current and prospective customers to understand their needs and challenges while deepening trusted relationships.

“Vir’s leadership has been instrumental in advancing ERT’s growth within the space sector,” said ERT CEO Mark Lee. “His ability to blend innovation, strategy and trusted partnerships continues to strengthen our position and exemplifies the quality we strive for as a company.”

    Why Watch

In 2026, Thanvi’s focus is on aligning ERT’s capabilities with the evolving needs of the space enterprise by driving growth through innovation, strategy and trusted partnerships. His journey across government and commercial sectors has prepared him to elevate ERT’s digital and enterprise engineering, while furthering impact across civil and space markets. ERT is also intentionally expanding its presence in the defense sector to apply space‑driven innovation and engineering solutions to a broader set of mission needs with mission-focused outcomes.

Thanvi said ERT is positioned to respond with agility to evolving government space requirements and funding priorities by delivering innovative, cost‑effective solutions that streamline operations.

ERT is well-aligned with U.S. government priorities in the space domain, including communications and navigation, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection and emerging initiatives such as Golden Dome, while expanding its footprint across the space sector through strategic commercial partnerships, he said.

“By empowering exceptional talent with the right tools and strategies, ERT ensures scalable, resilient, interoperable and future‑ready space solutions,” he added. “For me, excellence is not a goal; it’s our standard. And when collective ERT is focused on orbits to outcomes, there is no limit to what we can achieve.”

Fun fact: After leaving home after high school, Thanvi built a close group of friends and shared the cooking skills he learned from his parents. He also took up new sports and went on to represent his college in state-level tennis and chess tournaments, where he won championships. To this day, he loves cooking for family and friends on weekends and holidays, and by all accounts, the food is always a hit.
