Josh Jackson has been named CEO of Valkyrie Enterprises LLC, bringing extensive experience in defense technology and federal contracting, most recently as head of the Army Business Group at SAIC.

Jackson, who has an engineering foundation and a track record of building mission-driven businesses supporting the U.S. Navy, Army and multi-domain warfighting missions, will focus on improving the company’s ability to support customer missions through product evolution and prototyping while creating additional opportunities for employees, according to the board.

Tom Campbell, chairman of Valkyrie Enterprises and founder and managing partner of DC Capital Partners, said the company is at a pivotal point in its evolution and positioned for significant growth, with Jackson selected to lead the next phase.

“At Valkyrie and all of our companies, we strive to have our business: Evolve, Grow, and Improve,” he said. “I could not be more optimistic for what the future holds for Valkyrie. We have invested a significant amount of resources to accumulate the raw material to build a highly differentiated business focused on: Test, Simulation, Evaluation and Prototyping, and Lifecycle Solutions, and we are fortunate to work with Josh to execute on the strategic plan we have developed.”

Over the last several years, Valkyrie has invested heavily in its core Navy business and expanded through targeted investments to strengthen its products and services, including a merger with Hill Technical Solutions to add missile defense test, evaluation and prototyping capabilities, the acquisition of Ship 2 Shore to address Navy fleet readiness challenges and the acquisition of Optical Sciences Corp. to expand hardware-in-the-loop offerings and grow its presence in space and hypersonics markets.

Jackson said he is honored to lead Valkyrie Enterprises and work alongside a team delivering mission-critical impact for national security customers. He pointed to the company’s domain expertise, trusted customer relationships and differentiated technologies as core strengths.

“The opportunity ahead is to scale those strengths and accelerate innovation, and executing with the rigor required in today’s dynamic threat environment,” he said. “We will continue to deliver with precision and passion while focusing on solutions for an increasingly complex future.”

Jeff Weber, a partner at DC Capital Partners, said the expansion bolsters Valkyrie’s capabilities and organizational structure, allowing the company to grow its geographies, markets and capabilities to better meet changing customer requirements. He added that Valkyrie’s solutions position the company to take on more complex defense, intelligence and critical infrastructure challenges.

Weber also thanked Dave Streett for his dedication to Valkyrie over the last 10 years and for his leadership as CEO and wished him well in his future roles.
