CGI Federal Inc. has won a $64 million contract to manage and modernize the Environmental Protection Agency’s financial management platform, Compass, expanding the agency’s use of CGI’s Momentum Enterprise Suite.
The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract was awarded by EPA’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer and runs 5.5 years. CGI said the work will use AI and Momentum capabilities to increase automation and consolidate financial systems.
Under the contract, CGI will expand EPA’s existing Momentum implementation and provide licensing, operations and maintenance support. The company will also optimize Compass within the agency’s Amazon Web Services environment, adding automation, AI and enterprise resource planning capabilities to help retire legacy systems and streamline administrative processes.
“This contract reflects the strength of our long-standing collaboration and our shared commitment to responsible stewardship of public resources,” said Jay Hadley, senior vice-president and business unit leader for regulatory agencies at CGI. “By modernizing financial systems and advancing automation, we’re helping EPA improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and deliver on the federal mandate to protect taxpayer dollars through transparency and accountability.”
EPA acquired Momentum through the Treasury Department’s Financial Management Quality Service Management Office marketplace.
