Peraton has appointed Bob Genter as president and chief operating officer, effective Feb. 17.
In his new role, Genter will oversee operations and execution to support Peraton’s strategic priorities, while focusing on driving operational excellence and scalable growth.
“Peraton has a strong foundation of impressive capabilities, proven delivery models, and customer trust,” Genter said. “I’m excited to continue building an exceptional leadership team, driving consistency in execution for our customers and across the enterprise, and leading Peraton to the next level of performance.”
Genter brings over 25 years of executive leadership experience in technology and IT services in the defense and civilian sectors to Peraton. As president and COO, he will report directly to Chairman and CEO Steve Schorer and work with the leadership team to strengthen Peraton’s capabilities and advance talent and development.
“Bob is a transformational leader with deep expertise in the defense and federal markets,” Schorer said “His exceptional abilities to build high-performance teams, drive growth, and execute complex integrations make him the ideal president and COO for Peraton, and an example of our investment in top talent to shape the future of the company.”
Genter joins Peraton from SAIC, where he served as president of the defense and civilian sector, overseeing a $4.8 billion portfolio and 16,000 employees worldwide. At SAIC, he led major wins including the $1.3 billion Treasury T-Cloud transformation and the Army Corps of Engineers Revolutionary Information Technology Services program. He also led the acquisition and integration of Unisys Federal and Halfaker.
Before SAIC, Genter held senior leadership roles at CGI and American Management Systems, with responsibility for P&L, IT outsourcing, software development and finance.
