Siemens Government Technologies has added Alia Drescher to its board of directors.
“I’m eager to contribute my expertise across diverse business, technology and finance roles to support the dynamic team at SGT in its work delivering the very best of Siemens innovation for the needs of U.S. federal government agencies at a time of rapid digital transformation,” she said.
Drescher is CFO of Siemens Smart Infrastructure’s Global Buildings business and served as CFO for the company’s Regional Solutions & Services unit.
She has nearly three decades at Siemens, including over two decades in the Middle East, where she held leadership roles across multiple countries and markets, culminating as CFO for the Middle East region.
“We look forward to Alia’s contributions to our board,” said Anne Altman, SGT board chair. “Her extensive experience serving across multiple regions, functions, and business units, will bring a diverse understanding of how Siemens is addressing international technological challenges for the benefit of SGT federal government customers.”
As Drescher’s tenure begins, Siemens Smart Infrastructure CFO Axel Meier will conclude his service as a board member.
“Axel’s depth and expertise across complex resource planning topics for key financial objectives has been invaluable to the board,” Altman added. “We thank him for his commitment to the business for more than a decade and wish him all the best for the future.”
