TRSS has named Dana Barnes president, marking a leadership transition the company says positions it for its next phase of growth and expansion into new opportunities.

“Over the years, TRSS has grown into a trusted partner in supporting critical missions across law enforcement, financial services, and national security,” said Steve Rubley, the outgoing CEO and president of TRSS. “Dana’s deep expertise and passion for impactful work make him the right leader to take TRSS into its next phase of growth and success.”

Barnes brings over 20 years of leadership experience across federal and commercial technology markets, with a track record of driving growth, operational excellence and mission-focused transformation. His career spans service as a Marine Corps officer and senior leadership roles at Dataminr, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft and Forrester. At Forrester, Barnes served as vice president of public sector, leading government sales strategy and revenue growth across U.S. and Canadian federal, state, local and defense markets.

“TRSS’s results speak for themselves,” Barnes said. “There have been lives saved, trafficking rings dismantled, communities protected, and meaningful change delivered every day. I am thrilled to join a team that is so committed to delivering real-world results. TRSS is uniquely positioned to expand its reach and continue driving innovation, and I look forward to building on the momentum Steve and his team have created.”

Rubley retired at the end of 2025 and will remain involved as an adviser during the transition to support Barnes and ensure continuity.

With Barnes at the helm, TRSS aims to deepen its impact, expand into new markets and continue delivering mission-driven solutions for its customers and partners, the company said.
