    Scott Recinos, LMI

    Scott Recinos

Senior Vice President, Homeland Security, LMI

Last year, LMI made significant strides in expanding its offerings and value for homeland security customers, Scott Recinos said. The company evolved from a traditional consultancy into a commercial technology platform provider focused exclusively on the federal government. Its GenAI platform, LIGER, is supporting Federal Protective Service policy analysis, automating the Homeland Security S1 memo process for Border Patrol and advising the Science and Technology Directorate on drone technology for first responders and homeland security operators.

LMI’s solutions are designed with end users and security needs in mind, ensuring they meet the government’s rigorous requirements while providing an intuitive and easy-to-use UI/UX. Built specifically for the federal government, its technology platforms offer affordable, client-specific workflows and functionality. LMI also uses a firm-fixed pricing model for its technology platforms, including LIGER GenAI, providing the government with clear cost predictability and budget control.

“There is no job more important than protecting the homeland, and Scott understands exactly how LMI’s offerings can empower DHS to do just that,” said Josh Wilson, LMI president and incoming CEO. “The rapport Scott and his team have with DHS exemplifies the way LMI applies our understanding of our client’s mission to the solutions we deliver.”

    Why Watch

In FY26, LMI’s main focus at DHS will be to continue helping clients achieve their complex and dynamic missions more efficiently and effectively. Fundamentally, that is LMI’s purpose. It brings a team over 500 highly dedicated homeland security SMEs with deep mission knowledge and then layers that with emerging technology made for government that accelerates solutions to meet mission needs.

“I feel very lucky to be part of an organization like LMI,” Recinos said. “We have customers that care about the mission, appreciate good work, and treat us respectfully and professionally. Everybody I work with is on the same page and all dedicated to protecting the nation with integrity and professionalism.”

Fun fact: Recinos is a season ticket holder for the Washington Capitals and an avid golfer. He says he’s pretty average at the latter, but he’s working on it.
