Dave Levy
VP, Worldwide Public Sector and Healthcare and Life Sciences, Amazon Web Services
Dave Levy is particularly proud of his team’s role in the recent announcement that AWS will invest up to $50 billion to build the first-ever AI and high-performance computing infrastructure for U.S. government customers. This investment enables government agencies to achieve in hours what once took weeks or months through AI-accelerated discovery and positions the U.S. for AI leadership for decades to come.
AWS is also committed to aligning with the current administration’s priorities to reduce cost, streamline operations and improve government efficiency. In 2025, AWS secured an agreement with the General Services Administration to provide $1 billion in savings for federal government agencies through 2028.
“Deals like this demonstrate the depth of our partnership with the federal government and our ability to turn budgetary challenges into opportunities through creative problem-solving,” Levy said. “Our long-term priority is helping customers achieve their missions with speed and efficiency.”
Why Watch
In 2026, Levy and his team are focused on accelerating AI adoption across the public sector. Their priority is helping customers move missions forward using AWS’ purpose-built AI and cloud infrastructure. They will continue supporting the Energy Department’s Genesis Mission and working with agencies to deploy cloud-based AI at scale. The goals are clear: speed scientific discovery, strengthen defense and national security and improve how governments deliver services to citizens.
“The investments we are making now in AI and high-performance computing infrastructure for U.S. government customers will position the U.S. for AI leadership for decades to come,” he said.
Fun fact: Levy loves boating and being on the water with friends and family.
