    Dan Wilbricht, ClearShark

    Dan Wilbricht

    President, Optiv + ClearShark

Dan Wilbricht’s most significant recent achievement was leading Optiv + ClearShark through a pivotal growth period in 2025, including achieving Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification and strengthening the company’s role as a trusted partner to federal agencies.

During that time, the company expanded its mission-focused service offerings and deepened its presence across defense, intelligence community and civilian agencies. These efforts reflect Optiv + ClearShark’s continued evolution from a technology provider to a strategic cybersecurity partner aligned with federal missions.

Optiv + ClearShark supports administration priorities by helping agencies consolidate tools, automate security operations and maximize existing technology investments. Through vendor-agnostic architectures, AI-enabled security operations center capabilities and co-managed services, the company reduces manpower strain while improving threat detection and response. Its focus on compliance readiness, including Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification and zero trust, removes friction that often slows modernization and drives up cost.

    Why Watch

In 2026, Wilbricht’s team is focused on helping federal agencies modernize security operations while reducing cost, complexity and operational friction. Priorities include advancing AI-enabled security operations, expanding identity-driven zero trust strategies and scaling co-managed services that extend agency capabilities without increasing headcount. The goal is to deliver resilient, efficient cybersecurity outcomes that directly support mission success.

“Our mission is to help federal agencies secure what matters most — without adding unnecessary complexity or cost,” Wilbricht said. “By aligning cybersecurity with mission outcomes and operational efficiency, we’re enabling agencies to modernize faster, respond smarter, and stay resilient in an increasingly complex threat environment.”

Fun fact: Wilbricht is deeply motivated by building teams and mentoring future leaders. He believes the most meaningful legacy an executive can leave is a culture that outlasts any single initiative. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active and values time that allows him to disconnect and recharge.
