Warren Kohm
CEO, Aurex
Warren Kohm said his biggest achievement in 2025 was leading the rebrand of Aurex while integrating five acquisitions from 2024 and 2025 into a single, unified platform. Under his leadership, Aurex is delivering advanced defense and space technologies, including DICES, SPOCBOT, Gamora and Vampire, supported by rapid manufacturing. With operations across all four U.S. time zones, Kohm said he’s proud of a workforce committed to supporting the warfighter year-round.
Built beginning in 2024, the new Aurex scaled engineering, product development and manufacturing to enable faster, more efficient and more agile delivery. That strategy, set ahead of recent shifts in administration priorities, positioned the company to deliver lower-cost, high technology readiness level capabilities aligned with emerging defense and space needs. With continued maturation of SPOCBOT, Gamora and DICES and the acquisition of Alpha-2 at the end of 2025, Kohm said Aurex is well positioned to expand its offerings across defense and national security agencies.
“Warren is an exceptional leader who is uniquely qualified to take Aurex to the next level,” said Nat Fog, partner at Godspeed. “With his breadth and depth of experience both in the public and private sector markets, as well as with Private Equity backed platforms in the defense technology market, he has helped position us for success. He has built a class A executive leadership team, executed flawlessly on strategic M&A, and put us in the pole position for future opportunities with a robust pipeline. In short, we are lucky to have him on our team!”
Why Watch
In 2026, Kohm and his team are focused on developing emerging technologies at lower cost and higher production rates to meet immediate customer needs. Aurex is scaling manufacturing capacity and expanding its engineering workforce to support defense, national intelligence and commercial space customers demanding more capability with constrained funding. Kohm said products such as SPOCBOT and Gamora exemplify the delivery model Aurex is building to support these missions.
“Aurex is pleased to support the missions of our customers in both Commercial Space, Defense and National Intelligence,” Kohm said. “As CEO of Aurex, I have the privilege of being able to experience the fantastic work of our people and the immense gratitude of our customers and warfighters when we are successful. I come to work every day motivated by this mission!”
Fun fact: Kohm grew up as the youngest of five children in a household led by two teachers. He credits those humble beginnings with instilling curiosity, hard work and resilience — values he says continue to shape how he leads Aurex today.
