Tim Borchert
CEO, Tria Federal
Tim Borchert’s biggest achievement has been leading the evolution of Tria Federal from a traditional GovCon firm into a mission-driven technology company. Under his leadership, Tria helps federal health and public safety agencies move beyond incremental modernization to measurable, AI-enabled transformation.
Building on the launch of Tria Labs and the creation of Tria Forge, the company’s first productized AI platform, Borchert continues to guide the development of solutions that improve efficiency, decision-making and outcomes across the federal government.
Tria is committed to helping federal agencies address all three sides of the health care “trilemma”: cost, quality and access to care. The company works with customers to streamline operations through cloud modernization, intelligent automation and AI-enabled solutions that improve access, reduce risk and prevent fraud, waste and abuse. Its work includes modernizing platforms such as HealthCare.gov and strengthening fraud prevention efforts at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, maximizing taxpayer value while improving outcomes for citizens.
“Tim has led the most significant transformation in Tria’s history, turning the company from a traditional services firm into a technology-driven organization that delivers AI-enabled solutions at scale,” said Atchut Kanthamani, Tria Federal president. “His work launching Tria Labs and advancing productized platforms like Tria Forge is already producing measurable impact for federal health and public safety agencies. Tim’s leadership is driving meaningful improvements in efficiency, security and service delivery across the federal government.”
Why Watch
In 2026, Borchert and his team are focused on turning innovative ideas into repeatable outcomes that advance Tria’s mission to help keep Americans healthy and secure. The company is scaling AI-enabled platforms that allow agencies to do more with less, enabling their workforces to operate faster, more securely and with greater impact. The goal is technology that strengthens missions and delivers results at scale.
“I believe in innovation with intention,” he said. “When you combine mission expertise, deep customer relationships and scalable AI, you don’t just modernize systems—you transform how federal agencies deliver on their missions.”
Fun fact: Borchert serves on the board of directors of the Tewaaraton Award Foundation, which recognizes the top men’s and women’s collegiate lacrosse players nationwide. As a member of the foundation’s Native American Education Committee, he also works to expand educational opportunities for Native youth through college scholarships.
