Jon Rucker
CEO, Ultra I&C
Ultra I&C continues to deliver breakthrough innovation, positioning the team to bring essential technology to key customers this year. The company secured major contracts in missile defense and counter-UAS and established an MOU to develop encryption for Five Eyes and NATO partners. Ultra I&C is now providing its Archer system to the U.S. Army to improve network resiliency.
Strategic partnerships and successful demonstrations — from NATO exercises in Poland to engagements with allied nations — have strengthened Ultra I&C’s position as it supports allies during a critical moment in modern defense.
Aligned with current administration priorities, Ultra I&C proves its technology in the field before it ever reaches a soldier. This approach enables the company to move quickly from innovation to fielding, as it has with Archer, delivering proven capability while saving time and taxpayer dollars.
Ultra I&C has also shown adaptability when missions shift, including with its remote rekey capabilities. Its commitment to open architecture increases agility for both the company and its customers, enabling faster integration and response. Business development, engineering and operations teams move in step to support evolving defense acquisition needs, with government relationships built on earned trust and a focus on delivering decision superiority in contested environments.
Why Watch
Ultra I&C is expanding its technology from soldier to space, delivering reliable innovation when it matters most. As global focus returns to missile defense and counter-UAS and the defense industrial base strengthens, Ultra I&C is accelerating what it has long done best: integrating proven technology for mission-critical use.
Ultra I&C has operated as a defense technology company since before the label existed. It will continue advancing missile defense, counter-UAS and emerging domains where speed, reliability and execution matter.
“Ultra I&C is building on proven momentum and is poised to deliver at scale in 2026,” Rucker said. “Our accelerated testing cycles with military partners are demonstrating that we can deliver both the mission-critical reliability our legacy is built on and the cutting-edge innovation that today’s threat environment demands. That’s the kind of impact that drives us.”
Fun fact: A native Washingtonian, Rucker has been a lifelong Capitals fan — from reading box scores in the newspaper and adjusting TV antennas to catch games to watching Alex Ovechkin transform the franchise. He and his family still attend as many games as possible. “If I weren’t so committed to proper grammar, this entire response would be in ALL CAPS,” Rucker said.
