General Dynamics Information Technology has won the first task order under the U.S. Air Force’s $8.75 billion Base Infrastructure Modernization contract.
The $131 million award, issued in July 2025, includes a 1-year base period with four option years.
The BIM program aims to build a unified, secure and high-performing network across Air and Space Force bases worldwide. Under this task order, GDIT will deploy advanced wired and wireless technologies at bases in the Pacific region, strengthening connectivity, cybersecurity, interoperability and data readiness for commanders and warfighters.
“Our national security depends on the ability to connect, share information and act without delay,” said Brian Sheridan, GDIT senior vice president for defense. “We look forward to delivering a next-generation network infrastructure to our Pacific forces so they can communicate, operate and respond with speed and precision in the battlefield.”
For over 50 years, GDIT has delivered mission-critical services to the Air Force, including cybersecurity, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, digital engineering and enterprise IT modernization. The work supports readiness, operational agility and the flow of information for airmen and Guardians worldwide.
