B&A, an IT systems integrator serving the federal government, has acquired Celestar Corp., expanding its intelligence services portfolio and positioning the company for larger national security and defense opportunities.
Jonathan Evans, president and CEO of B&A, said combining the company’s strengths with Celestar’s all-source intelligence expertise marks a transformative step for the firm and expands both capability and customer reach.
“This acquisition is a growth multiplier, not only in capability but in customer reach,” he added. “It immediately positions us as a full-spectrum intelligence provider, bringing us closer to the warfighter and opening up new, high-value contracts. This strategic alignment ensures we can deliver the end-to-end solutions our government partners need to meet the most complex national security challenges.”
Founded in 2004, Celestar provides specialized intelligence and analytic support to the Defense Department, State Department and the U.S. intelligence community. The company began by supporting counterterrorism missions and now delivers analytic, strategic, training and professional services across three core areas: Intelligence Analysis and Enabling Services, Data Enterprise Support and Training and Professional Services.
The deal adds multi-INT disciplines to B&A’s existing capabilities in human intelligence, signals intelligence, imagery intelligence, measurement and signals intelligence and open-source intelligence, according to the company.
Celestar CEO Gregory Celestan said the company is excited to join B&A and build on its heritage of service, adding that B&A’s mission-first approach and commitment to retaining Celestar’s leadership team will support a smooth transition.
“Our employees will benefit from B&A’s Centers of Excellence and service delivery approach, while gaining the scale and resources necessary to deliver even greater impact across the defense intelligence enterprise,” he added. “Joining B&A will help accelerate growth in our intelligence and national security business and enable us to pursue a broader customer base across additional markets.”
B&A said the acquisition also strengthens its ability to compete for larger federal contracts, as Celestar’s experience expands the company’s geospatial intelligence work and positions the combined organization to pursue more complex opportunities with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency and the combatant commands.
