AMERICAN SYSTEMS has appointed Lauren Kilcoyne as chief operating officer, effective Jan. 5, 2026.

She will oversee operations, drive cross-functional collaboration and lead business planning and acquisition strategy execution to support the employee-owned company’s long-term objectives.

“After a thorough search, Lauren has been selected to fill this significant position on our Executive Leadership Team,” said John Steckel, president and CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. “She is an accomplished leader with a proven track record of execution and growth results, and I am confident her insight and leadership will positively impact AMERICAN SYSTEMS.”

Kilcoyne brings over 20 years of leadership and operational experience, with senior roles at Astrion, Empower AI, Capgemini, Leidos and Lockheed Martin. Her background spans government and commercial sectors, with expertise in cybersecurity, AI, IT, systems engineering and business development.

“I am honored to have been selected to lead operations at AMERICAN SYSTEMS,” she said. “As COO, my focus will be on ensuring overall operational performance of the company and driving excellence and efficiency and maximization of our employee-owners’ shareholder value.”

Kilcoyne’s appointment reflects AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ continued focus on employee ownership, operational discipline and long-term growth, the company said.
