Maximus has named Mike Keefe chief growth officer for its federal business, where he will lead growth strategy, business development and capture across the company’s civilian, health, defense and national security markets.
His appointment underscores the company’s focus on continued growth in the federal marketplace and praised his distinct perspective that connects data-driven strategy, operational excellence and mission success, said Maximus President and CEO Bruce Caswell, whom Keefe will report to.
“As Maximus continues to strengthen its technology capabilities in areas like AI, cybersecurity, modernization, and advanced analytics, Mike’s leadership will help us deliver even greater impact for our federal agency partners,” he added.
Keefe brings over two decades of experience driving operational and financial growth for leading federal contractors. He held leadership roles at Accenture Federal Services, Cognosante and Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led teams that secured and delivered large-scale, mission-critical programs for federal agencies.
“Growth at Maximus is about creating long-term value through innovation, performance, and trust,” Keefe said. “I view my role as being the connector for our business and growth organizations to ensure we align our capabilities with agency missions.”
The company said Keefe’s appointment comes as Maximus builds momentum in the federal market, following two recent Air Force contract wins worth up to $163 million combined. The awards, focused on advanced cybersecurity and technology modernization, strengthen the company’s position as a trusted federal partner.
“Maximus is at a pivotal inflection point,” Keefe said. “We’ve become a reliable, technology-driven partner that delivers measurable, performance-based results for government agencies and the citizens they serve. I find real joy in problem-solving and helping teams tackle new challenges that matter. Sustainable growth is built through combining creativity and execution to deliver meaningful results.”
