Mercury Systems & Nightwing Team Up to Bolster Cyber Resiliency for Mission-Critical Hardware

Mercury Systems and Nightwing have partnered to strengthen the cyber resiliency of Mercury’s hardware, combining their expertise to deliver pre-integrated cybersecurity and anti-tamper solutions designed to protect mission-critical systems throughout their entire runtime.

The agreement combines Mercury’s trusted hardware technology portfolio with one of the nation’s leading cybersecurity providers to deliver stronger protection for critical customer missions, according to Tom Smelker, Mercury’s senior vice president of processing technologies.

“Collaboration between commercial suppliers increases delivered capability while reducing total cost of ownership,” he added. “Together we will give our customers and partners more options to meet their performance, affordability, and maintainability needs.”

Tim Zentz, Nightwing’s vice president of Cyber Offense and Defense Experts, noted that mission-critical systems are increasingly open and connected, creating new pathways for cyberattacks that can emerge from unexpected sources such as over-the-air intrusions, compromised supply chain components or infected maintenance equipment.

“The integration of our cyber resiliency technology with Mercury’s industry-leading hardware products and solutions will provide customers with greater security and faster, more efficient fielding of equipment,” he added.
