For Joshua Reddell, growth isn’t about chasing numbers — it’s about building something that lasts. As chief growth officer at Synergy ECP, he’s leading the company’s expansion across defense, intelligence and federal markets with one goal in mind: growth that drives mission impact.

With a background that spans security operations, strategy and enterprise leadership, Reddell brings a hands-on understanding of how to scale smart, lead with purpose and keep innovation tied to the customer mission

In this Q&A, he shares his approach to sustainable growth, his philosophy on leadership and where he sees the biggest opportunities ahead for Synergy ECP.

Tell us about your role as CGO at Synergy ECP.

As Chief Growth Officer, I am responsible for shaping and executing Synergy ECP’s growth strategy across the federal market. This includes driving business development, capture operations, and strategic partnerships while also leading our mergers and acquisitions initiatives. My focus is on identifying emerging opportunities, aligning our capabilities to customer missions, and ensuring our growth directly supports the critical national security needs of our clients.

What do you consider your top priorities in this role?

My top priorities are threefold: (1) positioning Synergy ECP for sustainable, long-term growth, (2) expanding our solutions and offerings to meet evolving government mission needs, and (3) building strong partnerships across the defense, intelligence, and federal communities. At the same time, I’m focused on fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth inside the company so that every team member is aligned around mission success.

What prepared you for this role?

My career has been built at the intersection of growth, strategy, and mission execution. Prior to this role, I served as Synergy ECP’s Vice President of Growth Operations & Strategy, where I oversaw strategic initiatives, market analysis, and M&A. Before joining Synergy, I held senior executive leadership positions at ManTech, where I led enterprise strategic pursuits, practice integration, and capture operations. These experiences gave me both the operational depth and strategic breadth to lead growth at scale while ensuring every effort ties back to customer impact.

What’s something people might not know about you as a leader?

I believe growth is not just about revenue numbers—it’s about impact. For me, leadership means mentoring and empowering teams, ensuring talent development, and creating pathways for the next generation of leaders in our industry. My background—from security operations to program leadership to enterprise growth—taught me that success comes from both innovation and investing in people.

Looking ahead, where do you see the biggest opportunities for Synergy ECP?

I see incredible opportunities in expanding our presence across cyber, enterprise IT, software and systems engineering, and data-driven solutions. At the same time, we’re pursuing strategic partnerships and acquisitions that will expand our capabilities and accelerate our ability to meet customer missions. The future for Synergy ECP is about scaling with purpose—driving growth that makes a meaningful impact on our clients and the nation.
