HII has promoted Roger Kelly to vice president of contracts and pricing at its Newport News Shipbuilding division.
Kelly succeeds Matt Mulherin Jr., who has been appointed vice president of supply chain and strategic sourcing. He will oversee contracts, pricing, and export and import licensing and compliance, and will report to Don Godwin, vice president of business management and chief financial officer.
“I am confident Roger has the leadership, business and technical expertise required to lead impactful contract negotiations on behalf of our team,” Godwin said. “I know he will continue to build upon Matt’s strong leadership of the contracts organization.”
Kelly joined the company in 1999 as a nuclear engineer supporting the Virginia-class submarine program. He has since held roles of increasing responsibility in business management, most recently serving as director of contracts and pricing, where he oversaw all new construction contracts at the shipyard.
