Granicus announced it has acquired Indigov, a provider of constituent relationship solutions for government agencies and elected officials.

Ahe acquisition brings together two mission-driven companies with a shared goal of helping civic leaders strengthen connections with their communities by putting people at the center of every interaction, Granicus said.

Indigov adds advanced customer relationship management, customer data platform and service tools built for the public sector. These capabilities help government teams manage large volumes of constituent inquiries more efficiently while maintaining detailed records of interactions and audience insights to better understand public needs and sentiment.

Granicus said integrating Indigov’s tools with its Government Experience Cloud–powered digital experiences will help governments build stronger relationships, increase trust and drive more effective governance at every level.

“Public sector leaders have consistently looked to their technology partners to deliver more data-driven intelligence and actionable insights to support better decision making and more directly drive intended outcomes,” said Mark Hynes, Granicus CEO. “By integrating Indigov’s proven CRM, CDP, and inbound constituent management capabilities into Government Experience Cloud, we’re substantially advancing our ability to help agencies grow their reach, deepen constituent understanding, and deliver more relevant, responsive experiences.”

Indigov delivers a unified approach to constituent relationship management, giving governments the ability to proactively manage any inbound event that requires resolution — from service requests and information inquiries to threat alerts, negative sentiment and political complaints — across every department and channel, including email, phone, social media and web.

A universal inbox helps teams interpret, prioritize and route inquiries to the right respondents. It automates responses based on common themes or high-volume events, and consolidates cases when constituents reach out through multiple channels to eliminate duplicate replies and redundant work. All cases are tracked and accessible across departments, keeping staff aligned throughout the resolution process.

A centralized customer relationship management system captures and preserves every interaction and data point in one place, giving staff a complete record to deliver more relevant and personalized service over time. Interoperability with other CRMs ensures accurate, consistent data sharing across channels and agencies.

“Indigov was founded to rebuild the user experience of democracy by transforming how government offices communicate with the people they serve,” said Alex Kouts, CEO of Indigov. “Joining forces with Granicus allows us to scale that mission even further – bringing our CRM and automation capabilities into the Government Experience Cloud to help governments deliver more personalized, efficient, and trusted constituent service.”

The acquisition builds on Granicus’ innovation roadmap and recent launches of Government Experience Agent, an AI-powered digital agent for the public sector, and Government Experience Insights, a suite of audience and experience intelligence tools. Upcoming releases will introduce agentic AI and other emerging technologies.
